Product Information

In a refrigerator for a minimum of 12 hours.

1. Remove from all packaging, place sauce sachet to one side.

2. Rub meat with a little oil and season.

3. Pre-heat a frying pan over a medium/high heat, place meat into the frying pan, seal on all sides.

4. Place in a roasting tin near the middle of a pre-heated oven Fan 200°C/Gas 7 for:Rare - 20 minutes Medium - 25 minutes Well Done 30 minutes.

5. Stand 10 minutes before carving.

6. Empty contents of sauce into a small pan, heat gently over a low heat for 1-2 minutes.

    Chateaubriand is a flavoursome, tender, thick cut of beef from the centre of the fillet, normally used for roasting. The word chateaubriand originally referred to the recipe as opposed to the cut of meat, but as the word has been increasingly used that way the meaning has slowly evolved.

    A farm assured prime British beef cut from tender, succulent beef, matured for 21 days for flavour and served with a red wine sauce.

    Defrost in a refrigerator for a minimum of 12 hours. Cooked best medium rare, so that the centre is a warm red and firm.
